Business Models, Value, and Pricing in Transition
Launched in January 2026, the RPOA AI Impact & Innovation Taskforce is leading an eight-month research initiative exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming the RPO industry, redefining business models, reshaping value creation, and challenging traditional pricing structures.
This executive briefing series is built from live discussions of Taskforce members (representing RPO leaders, HR consultants, analysts and technology partners), captured and synthesized throughout a structured working cycle from March to August 2026. Each session examines a critical dimension of AI’s impact, from current adoption and operating model shifts to emerging pricing strategies and future scenarios, culminating in a comprehensive industry insight brief.
The briefings are designed to provide clear, practical perspectives on what is changing, what it means for RPO providers and buyers, and how organizations can respond strategically. Rather than focusing on theory, this series reflects real-world experiences, challenges, and decisions facing RPO leaders today and offers future scenarios of RPO solutions of tomorrow.
Through this work, RPOA aims to advance the industry’s understanding of AI as both an efficiency driver and a strategic enabler, helping organizations move beyond experimentation toward scalable, value-driven adoption.
AI Adoption in RPO: What's Real, What's Hype, and What Comes NextRecruitment process outsourcing is at an inflection point, and the firms that understand it will outpace those that don't. This briefing delivers an unvarnished look at how AI is reshaping RPO delivery right now: where adoption is concentrated, which productivity claims hold up and which don't, and what separates the firms building durable competitive advantage from those generating AI activity without AI ROI. | RPO Business Model DisruptionIn this second briefing, RPOA's Taskforce examines how AI is simultaneously reducing recruiter labor costs and raising fixed investment requirements, why the recruiter role is evolving faster than most organizations are prepared for, and how leading RPO providers are reconfiguring their delivery models and developing new premium service lines in response. |
